Boeing Poland Engineering and Technology Center is currently seeking a Stress Analysis (Structures and Systems) team Skill leader to join our team located in Rzeszow, Poland.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • 7+ years of engineering work experience in relevant skill code.
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams in a formal leadership role.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Existing rights to work in Poland.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Proven experience working with and partnering with multi-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment, using collaborative relationships to achieve goals.
  • Knowledge of training processes in Airframe/Systems Stress for engineers and planners, experience of leading or organizing such process.
  • Active collaborator with US Leads and constant demonstration of high performance which helps us to get a more complicated statement of work.
  • Knowledge of the LEAN basics.
  • Solid communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collection, processing and analysis of information on the status and qualification of available engineering resources in the Stress discipline.
  • Organizing and conducting interviews of candidates for the position of Stress Analyst (SA).
  • Coordination of hiring of SA Engineers with partner organizations, project managers and technical leads.
  • Ensures engineers’ professional growth and development, from which BU project teams formed, considering the current and future needs in engineering areas. Coordinating with partner organizations.
  • Cultivates practices of engineering excellence.
  • Defines criteria and requirements for transition to different engineering levels.
  • Determines the types, volume and timing of various types of vocational training, including organizing special types of training. Training program materials validation.
  • Manages the creation of methodological materials, work instructions etc.
  • Development, organization and coordination of the Knowledge Transfer and experience within the Stress discipline.
  • Provides control over the fulfillment of professional requirements for the recruitment and certification of engineering personnel.
  • Defines and coordinates the allocation of engineering resources with BU and Partner Organizations within the engineering discipline.
  • Develops a technical policy for the development of engineering discipline, considering the current and future needs.
  • Assessing the technical feasibility of projects with engineering center resources.
  • Provides methods and recommendations for the implementation of projects within discipline, interacting with the Project Managers.
  • Mentor and coach lead engineers and technical leads.
  • Work with engineers withdrawn from projects to maintain and / or improve their skills and support in finding new projects.
  • Communicate with BCA and BGS Chief Engineers.
  • Captures lessons learned and best practices for implementation on future projects.
  • Participates in the creation and management of discipline priorities.
