As a Stress Composite Testing Engineer for the Structures team, you will be responsible for deriving test plans to support the structure certification and work hand-in-hand with the Materials & Processes group. In this fast-paced culture, on any given day you will derive requirements, complete hand calc and FEM analysis of composite structures, write test requirements, support test execution, and analyze test results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE SEEKING:
- BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or related degree from an accredited University.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in material and component testing of composite
- Experience with composite laminate design including layup definitions
- Knowledge of industry best practices and methodologies (CMH-17, AC 20-107B, FAR 23 & 25 Requirements, ASTM)
- Demonstrated FEM proficiency using industry recognized tools
- Creation and validation of finite element models at different scale (Global and detailed) to support the composite structures certification process.
- Analysis reports and calculation files in computer format.
- Basic knowledge of PDM/PLM systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team player.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements
- Great communication skills (oral and written) in both English and French
ABOVE AND BEYOND QUALIFICATIONS THAT WILL DISTINGUISH YOU:
- Experience with CATIA 3DExperience
- Knowledge of requirements for composite automated manufacturing techniques
- Experience with Google G -Suite and Slack
