Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for the analysis and assembly of construction related material, equipment, and labor pricing into real world estimating uses for the publication of building cost data in the United States and Canada.
You will spend your time on analysis of a vast database of construction pricing including maintenance of existing items as well as creation of new items when warranted. You will also have user interaction by answering incoming emails and taking incoming phone calls from customers that have questions about the construction database. Additional responsibilities will include things such as researching special projects, validating current construction items, and reviewing incoming pricing information in the database.

ABOUT THE DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Maintenance and Creation of construction line items used for estimating.
  • Take incoming phone calls and email from customers with questions about the construction database.
  • Validation of line items and prices with each monthly publication.
  • Research and understand how sales tax is applied to construction related services.
  • Any other special projects deemed necessary.
    Qualifications

ABOUT YOU AND HOW YOU CAN EXCEL IN THIS ROLE

  • A minimum of 5 years hands on experience in the construction field, including experience as an estimator, construction project manager, or general contractor.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and installation techniques a must
  • Experience in working with software estimating applications and Microsoft Excel
  • Extreme attention to detail a must
  • Degree in Construction Management preferred
  • Good communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to establish and measure personal goals
  • Self-motivated with an excellent work ethic
