Job Description:
We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Structural Bridge CAD Technologist in our Vancouver office. You will work with our team of Professional Engineers and Technologists to deliver bridge design and rehabilitation projects throughout British Columbia and Western Canada. You will have a strong interest and some direct hands-on experience with bridge and transportation infrastructure projects. Responsibilities will include various drafting and computer aided design tasks for the Transportation Structures Group. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with tender and construction tasks including quantity calculations, shop drawing review, condition and construction inspections. The ideal individual desires to make an impact on their workplace and be a leader in the Transportation Structural practice. You will have the opportunity to engage in a collaborative work environment with your team, as well as other disciplines and offices, and grow your role and responsibilities over time
Job Requirements:

What you will bring:

  • A Civil Engineering Technology diploma or Architectural Technology diploma from an accredited technical institute or an equivalent qualification
  • Registered or eligible to register as a Technician (CTech)/Technologist (AScT) with Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in computer-aided design and drafting of Structural projects, with a focus on bridges and transportation structures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (required)
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, InfraWorks, SketchUp, 3ds max or other visualization software.
  • Fast learner with a desire to grow professionally and personally.
  • Committed team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction when required.
  • Shows close attention to detail and takes pride in your work, both for large and small sized projects.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Committed to client service and production excellence.
  • Knowledge of transportation client standards and expectations is an asset
  • Inquisitive, clear thinker who can understand design concepts and translate into drawing from information available.
  • Ability to conceptualize in three dimensions.

The salary range for this position is $70,720.00 to $93,600.00 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position.
