HERE IS A SUMMARY OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent education in a related discipline;
- Certified for Working at Heights, Rescue at Heights, and First Aid;
- Solid understanding of designing in structural steel; and telecommunication structures engineering experience (is an asset);
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word &Excel etc.).
- Capability to work independently and in a team;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure;
- Fluent in oral and written English;
- And a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
- Visit sites for general conformance and perform groundwork on a variety of inspections;
- Climb telecommunication towers;
- Write technical reports; Complete design calculations; and Keep detailed records of all work;
- Develop knowledge of the tower industry, Client specifications, Canadian codes, and standards;
- Complete review of drawings, and RFI’s during construction phase of projects;
- Manage time spent on design tasks to meet established project-specific workplans;
- Utilize engineering software in the analysis of structural building components;
- Double checks all inspection photos and field notes to detect deficiencies;
- Work with the Field team, inspector, drafters, and Engineers;
- And the ability to take initiative and demonstrate problem solving skills to develop and enhance your learning.
