YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Dillon’s Structural technical group is looking for a Structural Engineer-In-Training to join our
multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting
projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.
At Dillon, we operate as one team. This position is available at our Dillon office in Ottawa.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- A degree in civil or structural engineering. A Master’s degree in structural engineering will be considered an asset.
- One to two years’ work experience with exposure to consulting is considered an asset, however, new graduates will be considered
Experience:
- Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and good engineering practices
- Understanding of the range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration
- Working knowledge of current AutoCAD and Civil 3D software will be considered an asset
- Working Knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CSA S6) and experience working on bridge structures is considered an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills
