Responsibilities:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Structural Engineer are amongst others:
- Application of the Design Process,
- Structural engineering of products for projects of the Energy Sector of John Cockerill,
- Civil Works engineering,
- Writing of design and manufacturing specifications,
- Coordination of engineering surcontractons,
- Participation to technical negotiations with manufacturers,
- Follow-up of manufactures,
- Optimisation of the design,
- Conformity of the technical documentation to applicable codes and norms,
- Respect of Customer specifications and requirements,
- Technical risks assessments,
- Application of standards and good practices,
- Delivery of the technical documentation to the Project Team according to the schedule and within specified budget,
The Structural Engineer is responsible for the structural and/or civil works engineering of products during project execution under the hierarchical responsibility of the Structural Manager and the functional responsibility of the Technical Project Manager with the following objectives:
- Customer satisfaction,
- Conformance to applicable codes and norms, contractual scope of supply, Customer’s technical specifications, internal standards, and local regulations,
- Quality, conformity, and completeness of the technical documentation,
- Respect of document delivery schedules,
- Optimisation of the design,
- Control of internal and external interfaces
