Description:
The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Inspector to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting structural components of construction projects to ensure compliance with the approved designs, codes, and standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of structural engineering principles and practices. Responsibilities: - Conduct regular inspections of structural components at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. - Document and report any deviations, defects, or non-compliance issues to the project management team and collaborate on corrective actions. - Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to verify the accuracy and completeness of the construction work. - Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams and subcontractors to resolve structural issues and ensure quality workmanship. - Participate in meetings with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to discuss and address structural concerns and proposed solutions. - Conduct material testing and analysis to verify the quality and integrity of structural materials and components. - Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to implement and maintain effective inspection and testing procedures. - Stay updated on the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to structural engineering and construction inspection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. - Professional certification or licensure as a Structural Engineer or Structural Inspector is highly desirable. - Proven experience in structural inspection and quality control within the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or infrastructure projects. - In-depth knowledge of structural design principles, construction methods, materials, and relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, AISC, BS, Eurocodes). - Proficiency in using structural analysis and design software, as well as familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex structural issues and recommend effective solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to upholding quality, safety, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of structural inspection and evaluation. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects concurrently. - Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
