Structural Welders - Journeyman or Apprentice

Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. is looking for a reliable, goal-driven, and positive Structural Welders to join our team in Innisfail, Alberta!

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• An Inter provincial Red Seal Journeyman Welder certificate
• Valid Alberta AIT registration number (apprenticeship)
• Current CWB ticket is an asset
• A minimum of 2 years of direct related work experience
• The position may be required to direct, coach and mentor other employees
• Possess mechanical aptitude, with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn
• Punctual and reliable
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English
• Be familiar with the production & QC inspection process
• Skilled at using equipment such as – grinders and torches etc.
• Responsible to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Previous shop experience
• Must be able to work with a minimal supervision

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine requirements
• Follow weld procedures to ensure quality products
• Complete Structural Welding (tanks, skids, trailers) including fit-up and layout.
• Spooling/bench work (ladders, flanges, pipe)
• Be proficient with SMAW, GMAW, SAW, carbon and stainless steels in all positions
• Have manual dexterity with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Follow various company policies and procedures including adherence to high Safety standards
• Be willing to mentor other employees
• Work safely and observe all safety rules to provide a safe place for all employees
• Produce a quality product
• Meet schedule deadlines
• Complete all required paperwork
• Other duties, as advised by direct supervisor
