You will delve into the field of mining ventilation and dilution of radioactive materials within a newly planned mining operation in the south of Norway. This planned mine will be extracting REE materials that are critical for energy-efficient motors in Wind Turbines etc. Working together with our international partners we will be developing a ventilation concept that is adaptive, energy-efficient and digital through our Mining 4.0 framework to deliver a ground-breaking approach towards mining. You will assist in the investigation of literature, development of concepts, carrying out of simulations through a hybrid approach using both CFD/Ansys for local simulation and VentSim for global network simulations to produce best practices & guidelines along with a digital model.
