Description:
Are you a student with skills in R or Python programming and a flair in bioinformatics? Join us at Statens Serum Institut as a Student Assistant! We need you in diverse projects related to clinical trial data management, bioinformatics, and research support.
YOUR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- You are detailed-oriented, and able to perform data management tasks and curate large datasets using scripting language.
- Strong command of the R or Python programming language, particularly within the tidyverse or pandas framework.
- Familiarity with shell scripting and Linux systems; experience with Computerome or UCloud is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of bioinformatics principles and tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Enrollment in a relevant bachelor or master program (e.g., bioinformatics, biostatistics, biology, biotechnology, biomedicine, or related field).
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in Developing and Implementing Data Anonymization Script: Craft and maintain R/Python scripts to anonymize clinical trial data, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and standards.
- Assisting in Data Management and Curation: perform seamless data migration, ensuring data integrity throughout the process.
- Assisting in Submission data to Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO): Coordinate the submission of single-cell RNA-seq data to GEO, including curate metadata from the experiment
