Student Assistant, R&D

We are looking for a student assistant to join the R&D laboratory management team at Hempel headquarters in Lyngby, Denmark. In our R&D laboratory management team our main tasks are to ensure safety compliance and support R&D with practical tasks, documentation, registration, optimizing and aligning processes.
We take pride in creating safe and compliant working conditions in the laboratories
Developing and optimizing conditions for the R&D teams so they can focus on high quality in research and development of Hempel products.
We expect you to be passionate about quality and safety and that you have a systematic mindset to organize and to managed your tasks efficiently.
As part of the job, you will be involved in improvement processes, 6`s, registration and maintenance of equipment, updating, uploading and sharing information. You will be assisting with practical laboratories tasks such as calibration of basic laboratory equipment and chemical safeguarding. You will be joining a team of 2 colleagues, working closely with the service team to support the R&D laboratories, where approximately 100 people work. We work in an international environment with a broad range of both practical, administrative and communicational tasks, giving plenty of room for learning and gathering experience on the job.
Working hours will be 15-20 hours per week with high flexibility around e.g. exams.

  • Calibration of equipment
  • Maintaining chemical database
  • Ad hoc support to the teams

What does it take to become a Student in R&D at Hempel?
We are looking for someone who is currently studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the scientific field, laboratory experience would be considered a merit.
