OUR PROFILE

With more than 80 employees, the Chair for Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage Systems and the Institute for Power Generation and Storage Systems are among the largest university research institutions for battery storage systems in Europe. We are continuously looking for motivated and highly qualified support to advance the energy transition.
We deal with all issues arising from the planning and operation of battery storage systems, electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. These range from system design and the development of operating strategies to profitability calculations and policy advice on all the latest battery-related topics. We operate our own fleet of electric vehicles, support the power grid with a large-scale battery storage system, plan the decarbonisation of industrial operations or advise political ministries on strategic decisions that affect our society.
