Description:
We are inviting applications for the role of Billing Clerk in the education sector based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role is pivotal in managing billing operations, setting up agreements, and performing reconciliations in an organized, detail-oriented manner.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up billing agreements through TADS
- Applying payments and sending out invoices through TADS
- Managing minimal bad debt; no collections experience required
- Executing reconciliations as part of the role
- Handling the invoicing process for approximately 450 accounts
- Overseeing re-enrolment and creation of new contracts
- Supervising students for an hour each day
- Sitting at the front desk and answering phones as part of a team environment
- Utilizing skills in Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, Billing, Accounts Payable (AP), and Payroll to perform tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for managing large data sets and performing financial calculations.
- Prior experience in billing is essential, including issuing invoices, maintaining billing records, and tracking payments.
- Demonstrated customer service skills are required, including effective communication, problem-solving, and relationship management capabilities.
- Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes is needed for managing outgoing payments and reconciling invoices.
- Experience in payroll is necessary for managing employee compensation, benefits, and deductions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced educational environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
