  • A diploma or higher (or, in lieu, at least three years’ relevant experience) relating to administration, events management, education, student welfare, business or international relations.
  • Currently holds or ability to obtain a WWVP card.

Key skills and experience will include:

  • Previous experience in the higher education sector in an administrative & student engagement role.
  • Event management, ideally in an education sector, or the ability to understand the requirements of event management in the higher education context.
  • Understanding of key legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to international students.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by students participating in alternative pathways to tertiary education, including the complex nature of the international student experience

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Student Experience Officer, you will work as part of a team to deliver services that support the academic experience and overall well-being of students. The role is responsible for providing high quality administrative and services support and designing a range of events, orientations and student engagement programs. This role involves collaborating with academic departments, faculty, and administrative staff to ensure the successful implementation of programs to support student engagement and success.
This role is required to work on site on a full-time basis.

THE PERSON WE SEEK WILL BRING THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE TO THIS ROLE:

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, event management expertise, high level administration skills and a warm and engaging demeanour. They will champion customer service skills with great communication and a have a desire to help students and other key stakeholders, while modelling the vision and values of the College and university.
