Student Internship / Trainee (6 months)

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Enrolled in a program in a relevant area such as Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or equivalent or a recent graduate
• A good understanding of cellular and molecular biology as well as immunology
• A strong team player but also able to work independently
• Experience in cell culture and cytotoxicity assays is a plus
• Self-motivated with a strong passion for science and interest for Pharmaceutical R&D
• Very good verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English
• A good sense for attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and execute complex tasks

You will be handling challenging problems on a daily basis as part of the Bioanalytics group at the Drug Product Services department. In particular, you will:

• Establish in vitro cellular functional assays to determine the potency of compounds
• Perform state-of-the-art research in cell biology applying a variety of molecular and cell biology methods
• Design, execute and analyze experiments under the supervision of team members
• Handle the cultivation of primary cells and cell lines
• Document and present accurate data.
