STUDENT MATERIAL HANDLERS
Home Hardware is currently seeking Student Material Handlers for our Debert Dealer Support Centre on the afternoon shift.
Reporting to the Shift Manager you will be responsible for helping to maintain service levels to Home Hardware Dealers.
DEFINITION OF A STUDENT:
A student Team Member is someone who is currently attending school full-time or is registered to attend school full-time at the beginning of the next semester (i.e.: January or September).
What you’ll do:
- Pick dealer orders in a neat and accurate manner.
- Ensure the proper packing and labeling of each dealer order.
- Keep sections clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to complete all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the shift such as put away, receiving and shipping.
What we’re looking for:
- Good attendance record is a requirement.
- A significant output of physical effort is required through lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, etc. The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds without difficulty on a consistent basis is needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery or a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrate high-quality accuracy and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, reliable team player and work ethic.
- Ability to work Public Holidays and Saturdays when required
