POSITION SUMMARY

One temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position in Biological Sciences

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrates an interest in applying to a healthcare professional program.
• It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent demonstrates enrollment at CSUS as an upper-division student majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Math or Computer Science, with an overall 3.0 GPA.
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates availability for training and work assignments during June, July, and August.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist in providing peer-to-peer guidance to students in the Delhi Medical Academy of Sciences who are interested in the pathway to health careers.
• Participate in regular meetings, trainings, and summer experience programming with the PI and lead at Delhi high school.
• Participate in all activities related to meeting the goals of the DMAS Health Career Pathway grant.
• Assist in coordinating programming efforts with other faculty, staff, and student volunteers.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
