JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the assigned Faculty, the student worker will support department activities, including research, the Applied Liberal Arts certificate program, and the Writing Center.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete detailed work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to analyze and categorize data and produce convincing data visualizations.
  • Knowledge of Excel and Photoshop CS.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Must be currently enrolled or attending classes at Florida Polytechnic University.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.25 and have successfully completed 9 credits or more in the most recent fall or spring semester with a GPA of 2.0 or better.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW:

  • This position requires a criminal background check.
  • This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.
    NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule for this position will be 10 hours a week and will be worked out with the lab technician, dependent upon the student’s class schedule.
    EXPECTED STARTING SALARY: $12.25 hourly.
