Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the interdisciplinary team, that is developing the Patient and Caregiver Support Program, the student research assistant will undertake the following roles and responsibilities:
- Environmental scan of existing support and stimulation programs for patients and caregivers of patients with cognitive decline
- Explore key stakeholders, partners and collaborators within the health and social services context in Montreal
- Investigate the latest research on best practices in patient and caregiver support including the Quebec Observatory, and L’Appui services (do we want to specify for patients and caregivers of patients with cognitive decline?)
- Explore current wait lists of Montreal programs and services to identify the needs for new and/or expanded programming
- Develop a summary report with recommendations from the literature review and environmental scan to incorporate into the programs. The summary report will be used to guide the development of the Patient and Care Partner Support Program.
Qualifications:
Student pursuing a degree in psychology, social work, or related field. Bilingual, proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet research, experience with teamwork, responsible, ability to work independently, organized and efficient.
