Description:

Are you motivated by climate action, diversity & inclusion, health & wellbeing and interested in coordinating the implementation of our Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program? Then we have the right student job for you.
Our SDG program is linked to our overall decarbonization strategy. It is a collection of the sustainability targets for People, Planet and Profit. The program offers benchmarks for sustainability efforts and offers transparency and accountability for our actions.
The SDG program takes those far-reaching efforts and puts them in a framework. Whether it’s developing the next generation of engines that will decarbonize global shipping, or ensuring our employees are empowered, motivated and able, the SDGs have become an integrated part of our business.
MAN Energy Solutions in Denmark is a large company and coordinating our SDG efforts requires large efforts. We need you to support us in these purposeful activities.

WELCOME TO THE SDG TEAM

You will be supporting a cross-functional SDG team of 4 members coming from QHSE (quality, health, safety, environment), climate, strategy, and HR. We are working out of different locations, most of us from Copenhagen. You are welcome to have your main place of work at either Copenhagen, Frederikshavn, or Holeby, as suits you best. Your main supervisor will be Frederikke Munk Sørensen, Principal Climate Manager, but you will be part of the coordination group mentioned above and support all of us.
We have an implementation focus, this is, we have an inventory of activities we need to implement in 2024, and we need your help to do it. We think we are progressive and have made a good plan for how to operationalize sustainability, but we would like you to tell us and support us in what can be improved.
We also have a strong student worker community offering various activities.
Unleash your potential: Join us towards a carbon-neutral future
We offer you an opportunity to help shape the world of tomorrow – whether you are just starting out, taking your first career steps after graduation, or looking for the next big career challenge.
At MAN Energy Solutions, we focus on diversity and equality to create a creative and inclusive culture. We believe that a diverse workforce with a mix of gender, nationalities, and perspectives will drive innovation, creativity and productivity. We are committed to our employees’ well-being, and you will have the opportunity to join different social activities from yoga and fishing to creative clubs.
We prioritize work-life balance, offering flexible working hours, the possibility of working from home, and mental well-being including health insurance and focus on work atmosphere. Here you have opportunities for growth, development, and mentorship.
In 2027, MAN Energy Solutions will move to Trekroner in Roskilde. Here we will consolidate all our current locations on Zealand into one large site.

Responsibilities:

As Student SDG Coordinator, you will:

  • Aid in developing future programs
  • Bring new ways of thinking about sustainability and the SDGs – we need fresh perspectives to identify our blind spots
  • Coordinate SDG activities across our locations in Copenhagen, Frederikshavn and Holeby
  • Continuous coordination and reporting of SDG target progress
  • Work in close collaboration with the communications department on SDG content for our various internal and external channels
  • Maintain an SDG intranet page on our SharePoint platform
  • Drive implementation of selected SDG activities
