JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a data analytics buff? Are you also passionate about people and organisation? Are you interested in bringing these two concepts together? This is what we like to call … People Analytics!
We are looking for a student worker to join our Project Management Office team in Danfoss Power Solutions HR.
To assist our People Analytics & Data Management agenda within Danfoss Power Solutions we are currently on the lookout for a student worker who is ready to take on true responsibility, fuse together their passion for data analytics and people, and thereby deliver powerful results.
If you want a student job that is relevant to your education, where you will work with global stakeholders and contribute to strategic HR projects using data-driven insights, then keep on reading because you might just be the person we are looking for.

WHO WE ARE

Our team works in collaboration with many parts of the organization, including HR regions and HR Group functions to deliver data and analytics with a high level of integrity and validity.
Our ambition is to convey ideas and knowledge through data-driven insights, using SuccessFactors reports, PowerBI dashboards, and advanced analytics. Our philosophy is to have a Single Source of Truth for Danfoss Power Solutions’ people data and to be business and user focused.
As a student worker in our small team of two people, you will be reporting to Christina, HR Project Consultant.
Besides building reports, our team drives the data side of strategic HR projects, such as Succession Planning, and DE&I topics, by applying our advanced toolbox to capture insights and identify trends that directly shape the Danfoss Power Solutions people strategy (Foundation 2025), targets, and KPIs – this is where you will thrive. Furthermore, then the PMO team in Danfoss Power Solutions HR is also responsible for all the HR Projects, HR Processes as well as Compensation and Benefit.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for a student who is ready to take on new challenges in a complex organization. We are not picky about which education you are currently pursuing, as long as you know a thing or two about data analytics and can work and communicate within a diverse, global organization. We will teach you the rest, and maybe you can teach us a little something along the way too.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

  • You are currently studying a relevant university degree, e.g., in engineering or business analytics, and are in the final year of your bachelor’s or first year of your master’s degree.
  • A specific interest in mathematical modelling, data science, HR, or DE&I would be beneficial.
  • You are flexible with your schedule and can work a minimum of 12 hours per week. And, of course, we are flexible around your exams, etc..
  • You know your way around Excel, PowerPoint, perhaps even PowerBI, and ideally have experience with programming in Python and utilizing Jupyter Notebooks. As a bonus, you have experience with R, Julia, or other data analysis tools.
  • You have strong English skills, as this is the official company language of Danfoss.

Responsibilities:

Your main task will be to support the team on a variety of strategic projects, such as Succession Planning, DE&I, Compensation & Benefit topics, as well as have responsibilities on recurrent and ad hoc tasks. More specifically, you will:

  • apply advanced data analysis techniques to discover, interpret, visualise, and story-tell your findings in a clear, concise, and effective way to drive strategic decisions and outcomes,
  • validate HR KPIs which are reported in dashboards,
  • document definitions of people data and data quality measures,
  • join us as we have dialogues with our stakeholders,
  • and some other cool tasks!

We will help you navigate the complex landscape in which we work to ensure that your experience as a student worker (and key player in our team) is top-notch and that you can perform at your highest potential, while learning and expanding your toolbox.
