REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of proven experience in positioning and selling professional services
  • Clear understanding of a typical IT customer life cycle and the different types of services that are most valuable at various points in an IT software customer journey.
  • In-depth understanding of how organizations’ support and services models work in a SaaS model
  • Solid understanding of continuous process improvement and change management principles
  • Ability to self-direct and identify and implement tasks and initiatives with little managerial oversight
  • Proficiency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology Expertise
  • Strong understanding of Google Sheets and/or Smartsheet, Salesforce, and desktop publishing software applications

Responsibilities:

ROLE: WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The Subscription Services Engagement Manager leads and develops key relationships with various internal stakeholders, that support our customers. You will work diligently to understand the unique needs of each customer and prescribe Subscription Services offerings that will help ensure rapid time to value, long-term adoption, and expansion of their Splunk environments.
In this role, you will also be responsible for developing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators for the business. Providing ready access to key data is critical function and informs key decisions on, staffing, investment, and continued growth of the Subscription Services organization.
The successful candidate will have a customer-first mindset, be a strong relationship builder, passionate about Splunk, very organized, creative and persistent seller, confident presenter, and ultimately an ambassador for the Subscription Services business.

RESPONSIBILITIES: I WANT TO AND CAN DO THAT!

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders in Customer Success and Sales
  • Represent the Subscription Services business, and offerings to key internal stakeholders
  • Support the development of, and articulate relevant success stories and metrics that demonstrate value to customers
  • Develop process and maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting, documentation, and system information to ensure the business can be accurately forecasted
  • Leverage Salesforce to analyze data to identify opportunities, trends and report metrics
  • Accurately forecast opportunities and pipeline and ensure the information in Salesforce is up to date at all times
  • Monitor active opportunities to ensure services remain attached throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Identify, communicate, remediate and escalate risks to new or renewal opportunities
  • Represent and advocate for the organization in cross-functional initiatives and discussions
  • Continual self-development related to industry trends impacting Splunk customers to best represent the value of our service offerings
