  • This role will be a key driver in identifying, gathering, quantifying inputs into new product development and existing product optimization
  • Align with internal and external design, manufacturing, sourcing, and commercial strategies to ensure a deep understanding of tradeoffs of value engineering initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electromagnetics Engineering, relevant experience in power engineering field, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of professional experience as lead design engineer for medium voltage or high voltage transformers (minimum 33kV and up to 2XXkV class and 2,500kVA minimum) with a deep understanding of electromagnetics, thermals, materials, component selection, and transformer design software
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as mechanical, manufacturing, R&D or systems test engineer
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with OPS or other medium voltage transformer design software
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time to work closely with internal and external manufacturing teams
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising between multiple stakeholders with conflicting interests and developing solutions clearly identifying trade-offs
  • Experience managing products from conceptual design to implementation with a strong focus on reducing costs through engineering principles, manufacturing processes or vendor negotiations
