Description:
One of Australia’s largest electrical & communications contractors is looking to engage the services of a High Voltage Electrician with experience in Installation, Testing and Commissioning of High Voltage Substations and Switchyards up to a minimum of 66KV systems.
As one of our HV Electricians, you will work on industry-leading projects across Metro and Regional Victoria. You will be rewarded with excellent working conditions under our enterprise agreement and have the opportunity to work on high-voltage substation projects in the Industrial and Utilities sector.
HV Electricians will join a great team culture as part of our onsite construction teams and work collaboratively to deliver major HV projects safely, on time and within budget.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- VIC Electrical License
- Perform High-Voltage Switching Operations.
- Installation of Distribution system equipment’s such as Transformers, Capacitors, Regulators, Reclosers, Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Switchboards, and associated control equipment. This applies to both Switchyard and Indoor type Substations.
- Installation of Switchyard Earthing Grid would be an added advantage.
- Installation and Termination of High-Voltage underground cable systems.
- Previous Supervision or Project Management experience in this environment would be an advantage.
- It is essential that you possess suitable working Visa conditions which entitles you to work in Australia.
