ABOUT US

The Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions Department aims to provide the Best Student Experience to prospective students from the initial point of interest in undergraduate programs at Western, through the information gathering, application and admission processes.
Student Central offers a wide variety of services for current students, future students, alumni, staff, and faculty. Services are offered in person, by telephone, by e-mail, or online through live chat. The Campus Tour Guide will provide friendly, helpful and informative tours of Western’s beautiful Campus to campus guests, primarily prospective students and their families.
The incumbent will offer exceptional customer service, and provide relevant and comprehensive information to assist prospective students in their selection of an academic institution.

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

  • Knowledge of Western’s campus and the admissions process
  • Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude, with genuine customer service orientation
  • Reliable and dependable to deliver all assigned tours
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information in a clear and positive manner
  • Professional and enthusiastic, with the ability and desire to promote Western
  • Proven ability and natural inclination to interact with others in a professional, respectful and diplomatic manner
  • Passionate with the ability to provide a positive first impression and be an ambassador for Western
  • Ability to relate well to students and their parent

Responsibilities:

The Campus Tour Guide will provide friendly, helpful and informative tours of Western’s beautiful Campus to campus guests, primarily prospective students and their families. The Campus Tour Guide will play a crucial role in providing a positive first impression of Western’s Campus, and will act as an ambassador for the University. The incumbent will offer exceptional customer service, and provide relevant and comprehensive information to assist prospective students in their selection of an academic institution.
Qualifications

Eligibility Requirement:

  • (Eligibility requirement for Campus Tour Guide) Must be a full time student at Western (enrolled in minimum 3.5 courses), and expect to retain full-time student status for the duration of this appointment. or
  • (Eligibility requirement for Summer Student 1) Must be a student returning to studies in the fall with 1 year of part time employment or volunteer experience.
