Summer Food & Beverage Assistants Ocean Restaurant

The 4* Maritime Hotel in Bantry certified as a Great Place to Work is looking for Full time Food & Beverage Assistants to join our Restaurant Team. This role will be full time for the summer months and part time work will be available at weekends after that. It will suit someone who has worked in a customer facing role before and is very comfortable in that role.
You will be serving breakfast, the most important meal of the day to our customers and then working for lunch or dinner service. Working as part of a tight unit we want our guests to have a great experience in our hotel and in the area so we encourage you to share your West Cork stories with our guests.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• An outgoing personality and a great communicator who loves interacting with our guests and offering them the welcome that we are renowned for
• A team player who takes pleasure in achieving goals as part of our wider team
• Previous experience in a food service environment is an advantage but experience in a customer facing role is essential

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Working for breakfast, lunch or dinner service
• Being aware of the beautiful locality in which we live and work, and telling our guests about your favourite parts
• Use your knowledge to take accurate orders and work with the kitchen team to serve food orders in a timely manner
• Participate as part of the team and take pride in your work environment.

• Serve beverages including cocktails and food to our guests.
• Ensure that consistent standards of service are maintained at all times
• Being aware of the beautiful locality in which we live and work, and telling our guests about your favourite parts
• Use your knowledge to take accurate orders and work with the kitchen team to serve bar food in a timely manner
• Participate as part of the team and take pride in your work environment, ensuring that the bar is kept well stocked and to a very high standard of cleanliness
