Classic Hits, Coast 101.1 is looking for our 2023 Summer On The Coast host. This is an excellent opportunity for a person seeking a summer job in radio, communications, and marketing.
We are looking forward to an exciting Summer 2024 and we’re expecting plenty of community events!. As our host, you’ll spend the summer seeking out the best the Avalon has to offer in summer activities and community events. You will develop and maintain your own schedule of community and sponsor location visits. Plus you get to be on the radio!
Organizational skills and a positive attitude are a must! You have to love meeting new people while visiting and participating in the big summer events. You must be able to travel to remote client sites and other operating locations. Overtime may be necessary; therefore, flexibility in hours of work will be required.
You’ll spend a lot of time on the road so safe driving practices and a clean driving record are a must.
This is a perfect fit for a student with interest in communications/marketing as the position may be eligible for the provincial SSEP program and the Canada Summer Jobs Program

Requirements:

• Clean Driving Record
• Ability to work outdoors and stand for long periods of time
• Excellent communication skills
• Outgoing personality, willing to engage with the public at event locations
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong computer, smartphone and social media skills
