POSITION SUMMARY (FUND DEVELOPMENT/MARKETING STUDENT)

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help us to create social media content (for current and future use) and to assist with the planning of the 2023 Jann Arden Charity Golf Tournament in Support of Enviros.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Photoshop, Canva and Social Media experience
  • Good Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications
  • Ability to organize and work independently

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail

CONSTITUENCY REQUIREMENTS

  • Support for a specific type of project: Projects supporting not for profit organizations
  • Support for projects that offer programs and/or support to specific target groups: Newcomers / refugees
  • Support for a specific type of project: Projects supporting a cultural community

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Individual must be 18-30 years old
  • Individual must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations (international students are not eligible)
  • Having a current (within 12 months) Alberta Intervention Record Check - highly preferred
  • Having a current (within 6 months) Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector - highly preferred
  • Having a First Aid and CPR/AED ‘C’ certification - highly preferred

    Pay: $18-$22

Responsibilities:

  • Creating social media content for current and future projects (primary duty)
  • Assisting with the 2024 Jann Arden Charity golf tournament - social media postings, obtaining and picking up silent auction donations, general planning, organizing player teams and volunteers, issuing thank you letters/receipts and other duties as assigned.
  • Assistance the day of the tournament (July 29, 2023) in Canmore. Setup, coordinating volunteers, other duties as assigned.
    Reporting Relationship: Reports to Project Manager
