Our Nursery Summer Students play an important role in renewing our forests and keeping our communities and business alive! They support the superintendent in reforestation activities. No experience is required - we will provide all training. If you’re a current horticulture student or recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience, read on to learn more!
We’re looking for a Summer Student - Nursery to join our Eagle Rock Division for our summer term which runs from now to mid/end December. Located mid-way between Vernon and Armstrong BC, Eagle Rock Nursery grows seedlings as part of their commitment to sustainable reforestation in British Columbia. We are proud to plant, grow and harvest our own seedlings to maintain healthy ecosystems and provide future generations with the opportunity to enjoy BC’s magnificent forests.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Is either a current or recent graduate of a Horticulture program.
  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required for crop care.
  • Available now until mid/late December.
  • Has reliable transportation to work.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for supporting all aspects of crop care.
  • Provide administrative support as required, which may include maintaining employee records, coding invoices, timesheet entry, etc.
  • Maintain safety program documents including AGSafe COR program documents.
  • Support the Nursery Superintendent in other duties as required.
