JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Summer Student Peer Counsellor working on the crisis line at Nisa Helpline, you will play a crucial role in providing empathetic and non-judgmental support to Muslim women facing crises. This position involves active listening, emotional support, and resource referral to empower individuals during challenging times.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant counseling or psychology program.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and emotional situations with empathy.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Empathy and compassion in supporting individuals in crisis.
  • Ability to maintain composure and remain non-judgmental.
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness of issues faced by Muslim women.
