ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join our high calibre team.
In conjunction with the Project Managers help maintain total control and knowledge of the onsite works for the project, including the coordination of the Supervision Team, workforce and contractors. Complete the project safely and in accordance with the program whilst ensuring a quality product is constructed.
You will motivate others, ensuring a high-performing culture where teamwork ensures the delivery of exceptional quality outcomes to program.
- The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:Certificate III in Civil Construction, Cert IV or Diploma of Construction Management desirable
- extensive civil construction background with demonstrated senior supervisory experience
- excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do
- motivation to achieve value-for-money results to program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, implement, and audit all aspects of the project’s occupational health and safety/environment requirements.
- Undertake and lead pre-start and toolbox meetings ensuring all communication is coordinated, clear and supports the projects strategic direction.
- In charge of site – “communication”
- To be approachable, fair and reasonable and provide leadership to the team of Supervisors, workforce and sub-contractors, clearly defining responsibilities, coordination of areas of operation and allocation of labor.
- Direct the allocation of site resources and monitor the effectiveness of the resources with direct correlation to daily production rates.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the project including drawings, specifications and quality requirements for all site related activities.
