The Superintendent of Facilities Programs is responsible for improving Facilities Management (FM) effectiveness through a centralized support model, to support cross-branch, territory-wide initiatives. The Superintendent’s area of responsibility includes Safety, Procurement and Contract Management, Program Support, Project Management and Technical Support.
This position works collaboratively with the FM Superintendent team to identify gaps, and potential process improvements, and develop strategies for improvement initiatives and projects to be deployed across the territory.
As the ideal candidate, you will help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the branch by looking for innovative solutions to challenges, managing special projects, developing performance evaluation metrics and Key Performance Indicators, and using that information to deploy initiatives or providing advice to the Director.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN YOUR RESUME):
- Experience managing human and financial resources (including direct supervision of staff, assignment of work and managing employee performance; as well as budgeting, forecasting and analyzing financial data)
- Experience in preparing and providing strategic advice, guidance and recommendations to Senior Management;
- Experience in engaging, developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Experience in Facilities and Property Management would be an asset
- Experience in Procurement and Contract management would be an asset
- Experience in Occupational Health & Safety would be an asset
- Experience in building maintenance or other related field, with a solid understanding of building systems and maintenance practices would be an asset.
