Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent, Maintenance Planning to ensure the scheduling of services and maintenance repairs are achieved at Pembroke Resources’ project in the Bowen Basin - the Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resources’ Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 40 kilometres southwest of Moranbah and commenced mining operations in early 2023. Thiess has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning, overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul, water management and rehabilitation, as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.
Working a 5/2, 4/3 roster and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your duties will include:
- Providing leadership and mentoring to a team of mobile maintenance planners to ensure short, medium, and long-term maintenance plans are developed and delivered
- Utilising the Maintenance Management System to generate planned maintenance and major component repair cost budgets
- Liaising with internal and external suppliers to ensure the parts process is organised and staged for a given maintenance scheduled week
- Monitoring and maintaining unit known work list defect reporting system and the on-site condition analysis systems to ensure information is used to update the maintenance and service schedules
- Liaising with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure short, medium, and long-term maintenance strategic objectives and key projects for Olive Downs works are communicated to maintenance crews during daily meetings
- Providing clear performance expectations to direct reports and reinforcing correct behaviour through feedback, recognition, and encouragement
- Implementing training and development needs for all direct reports
- Minimising plant costs through continually investigating alternative suppliers for competitive pricing
