Description:
OVERALL SUMMARY
This role is responsible for providing support to the Newbuilding department in Newbuilds, Conversion and Ship Repair matters related to Ships construction, Machinery and Vessel Performance. The Superintendent (Newbuilding) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the construction and timely delivery of new vessels.
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
- BSc in Engineering - preferably Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture/Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- More than 2 years of industrial experience in ship production and/or ship operation.
- Project management experience and work experience with a team on an industrial project.
- Familiarity and understanding of shipbuilding process.
- Knowledge and Familiarity with Class rules, regulations including relevant ASME, API codes.
- Reporting capability to communicate to vendor, owner and shipyard.
- Adequate technical knowledge in working with desktops/laptops including standard software.
