Responsibilities:
Coordination and control of the maintenance plan to align with Fleet Maintenance System (BASSnet)
Plan, coordinate and survey necessary repairs including price negotiations with shipyards and/or repair shops
Plan, coordinate (with commercial dept.(BU)) and survey any scheduled dry-docking including final price negotiations with shipyard
Supervision of stock held on board for spare parts, equipment, tools and lubricants
Coordinate any technical measures with team members operating same/similar ships
Budgeting and controlling of all technical operating expenses
Responsibility for vessels’ inspections and condition surveys as well as respective written reporting
Support the commercial departments (BU) in all technical matters
Support all other office departments in their service tasks in particular registration; legal/insurance, IT-Fleet (incl. FMS), controlling, accounting, treasury
Motivation and assistance to shipboard management and assessment of vessel reporting in order to provide support where necessary
Raise and follow warranty claims for new-buildings
Regular monitoring and assessment of vessels’ fuel consumption data as well as any operational data indicating potential failure of engines and/or systems
Support the ER-Team in case of general averages / casualties / salvages
Taking over of projects within the departments scope of work
