The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), Queen Square, is the UK’s largest dedicated neurological and neurosurgical hospital. It provides comprehensive services for the diagnosis, treatment and care of all conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nervous system and muscles. Together with its neighbour, the Institute of Neurology, it is a major international centre for research and training.
The interventional service at NHNN offers a wide range of treatments to patients with neurovascular abnormalities including AVM, Aneurysm and acute stroke. We also offer treatment for spinal disorders including vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty and spinal injections.
We are looking for a superintendent radiographer to manage the angiography/interventional suites at NHNN acting as a focus for the multidisciplinary neurovascular team. As the superintendent radiographer, you would be expected to lead the team of radiographers and develop the service provided by this busy speciality. The successful candidate would manage the day to day activity in the angiography suites and would be expected to step into the role of operational superintendent radiographer to cover leave and to deal with a variety of management tasks. The successful candidate will have extensive experience within the NHS as well as excellent leadership, organisation and training skills and must be able to liaise with colleagues at all levels. This post offers an excellent opportunity to maintain clinical practice whilst developing management skills.
