REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for calculating prices, discounts, and change.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.

• Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor as they approach the checkout counter.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales transactions, ensuring accuracy in pricing and scanning items.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods, providing correct change and receipts to customers.
• Bag groceries and other items efficiently, ensuring proper care and organization to avoid damage.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing information about products, prices, and store policies.
• Collaborate with team members to restock shelves, arrange product displays, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Monitor inventory levels at the checkout area and report any stock shortages or replenishment needs.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and customer service.
• Assist with returns, exchanges, and refunds, ensuring compliance with store policies.
• Provide a positive shopping experience for customers, ensuring their satisfaction with service.
