The function is made up of over 2,000 professionals, working across the Executive and Regions in the following areas of specialism: Brand; Marketing; Media Relations; Social Media; Internal Communications & Employee Engagement; Corporate communications.
BMC also includes a number of teams who are responsible for content development, editorial, webcasts, events-staging, strategy, planning and operations. THE OPPORTUNITY

The EY Global Media Relations and Social Media Team is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Media professional to join its award-winning team. Working in a flexible model, the Supervising Associate will work with the Service Line PR leads to provide a range of social media in addition to media relations skills to specifically support the EY Consulting and Strategy and Transactions (SaT) businesses.
Responsibilities and tasks may range from advising on social media campaigns to supporting with media enquiries, writing press releases, briefing packs, messaging, results reports and more. Social media tasks may include advising and supporting senior EY leaders with their personal social media profiles, creating social media content for the EY Global corporate accounts, commissioning and approving creative assets – graphics, videos and filming.
The Supervising Associate may also be required to work directly with senior stakeholders and recommend and execute various plans and initiatives across multiple programs. Overall, the senior associate is agile and able to quickly and easily flex from one portfolio to another – supporting or leading programs as needed.
The dynamic self-starter has the intellectual rigor and curiosity to work with complex and/or technical subject matter to create compelling and headline-grabbing social media posts and media stories that work across the world. The ideal candidate is an experienced, organized, proactive, energetic, detail-oriented professional who enjoys a mix of planning, practical execution through to measurement.

  • Have a strong understanding of Social Media and PR measurement, metrics and reporting.

Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the EY Service Line PR leads particularly the Consulting and SaT portfolios to deliver impactful and measurable PR programs and results.
  • Support Service Line social media – create engaging and creative social media content and independently manage all aspects from creation through to approval for major PR & marketing campaigns, EY news and executive platforms.
  • Bring fresh ideas and thinking to the team, particularly on social media trends; remaining current on what content is performing well across social platforms and be able to embed in PR strategies and execution.
  • Support EY Service Line Global Executive leadership with their personal social media presence and executive platforms.
  • Take responsibility for planning, scheduling, and reporting across social working closely with PR, BMC teams and EY’s Global Social Media team
  • Work with EY Service Line and BMC leadership as needed – either as a team with the PR lead or independently as required – to lead programs. Confidently lead and execute an EY PR campaign from start to end, developing communications strategy, social media and press assets and be able to work closely across teams and agencies through to execution.
  • Prepare strategic communication materials; prepare press releases and other support materials as needed (such as talking points, media briefings, Q&As, pitches)
  • Work across time zones and communicate regularly with the EY global PR network, informing them of appropriate initiatives and briefing them where appropriate.
  • Develop regular progress reports for EY global leadership on PR activity and metrics as needed.
  • Ideally be able to cultivate relationships with target media as needed and secure media coverage on key programs/initiatives as required.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum five years media relations and social media experience working in-house or agency; also experience working with tech, corporate, financial or professional services organizations is advantageous.
  • High level of digital fluency; strong understanding and experience of digital and social channels.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage multistakeholder programs and confidence when working with multidiscipline teams.
  • Experience supporting high-profile events, ideally global events that involve a large number of countries.
  • Experience working with senior executives and managing individuals’ social media profiles.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing and communication fundamentals: including the different types of activities that fall under communications marketing, how they relate to one another and be able to provide strategic counsel on the best course of action to support a brand.
