JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

How will you make an impact ?The Supervisor leads a group of engineers, vendors, and contractors who collaborate together to complete Capital projects. The projects team is responsible for all aspects of engineering projects including project scope, timeline, and budget for facility projects. As a Supervisor, you will provide leadership to your team by leading through organizational change, developing and empowering staff, encouraging relationships, putting staff in a position to succeed, and meeting their personal career goals while also achieving interpersonal goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and crafting a climate where staff is motivated to do their best.

  • Responsible for capital project cash flow forecasts and monthly capital budgets. Works closely with the Engineering Team and site Finance to ensure forecasts, accruals, and capital depreciation are accurate.
  • Supervises progress and ensures all assigned projects are being completed as intended, on time and within budget. Develops and presents recommended project solutions along with realistic cost estimates to project sponsors.
  • Makes appropriate changes to the scope as scope changes during the course of the project. Develops, reviews, and understands engineering drawings that include equipment recommendations. Specifies construction methods to achieve the desired objectives.
  • Drafts and Executes Installation Qualification (IQ)/Operational Qualification (OQ)/Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols for Facility modifications as well as utility change control documentation.
  • Monitors the contractors’ safety performance and promptly resolves any safety violations that occur.
  • Completes the process of installing and commissioning equipment and/or modifying facilities to meet site customer and company client requirements with minimal interruption to operational schedules.
  • Ensuring good engineering practices are adhered to for the construction, installation and commissioning of new processes and facilities.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required) in an Engineering field, preferably Chemical, Biomedical, Bioengineering or Mechanical.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of manufacturing experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Food and Beverage manufacturing or related industry
  • 5 years Capital Project Management Experience is required.
  • Previous Leadership experience preferred but not required
