Job Description
The Supervisor sits within the Strategic Innovation & Planning (SIP) team. The SIP oversees centralized planning, budget management, and strategic prioritization within the global Customer Experience (MCX) function. MCX includes departments such as Marketing (Brand, Menu, Customer Engagement, Worldwide Convention), New Business Ventures, Innovation & Product, Operations, Restaurant Development, Restaurant Design and Strategic Insights & Delivery.
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Innovation & Planning, the Supervisor or Strategic Planning will support the execution of planning, initiative portfolio management, and key prioritization forums throughout the year. In addition, the Supervisor will collaborate cross-functionally on ad-hoc projects to support the broader organization. This position has a critical role in MCX planning and customer & restaurant team innovation work!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in consulting, planning, portfolio management, finance or similar roles
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent presentation development skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Curiosity and aim to develop a deep knowledge of the McDonald’s business and system
  • Proactive and solution-oriented problem solver, strong attention to detail, self-starter, and great teammate
  • Experience in partner management (senior leadership a plus); ability to influence others outside the direct line of control, managing up
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite; especially PowerPoint, and Excel

Responsibilities:

  • Create artifacts and materials to support planning and prioritization processes such as strategic planning, phase planning, annual budget planning, and customer & restaurant team innovation governance
  • Build and implement processes to collect and synthesize inputs from across the department to assist in prioritization and planning processes
  • Support the development of leadership workshops and collaboration forums by developing strategic presentations to be shared with or presented by executives
  • Lead cross-functional alignment to share progress on the department’s top priority initiatives with internal partners
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners within the MCX team and across the McDonald’s system
  • Support team’s financial stewardship by collaborating closely with Corporate Strategy, Corporate Finance, Investor Relations teams on behalf of the department
  • Manage internal team meetings through agenda curation, meeting facilitation, meeting notes, and follow-up management
