Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Objectives:
To obtain optimum output, granulation and product quality by adjustments and controlling of the extrusion and milling plant. The target is to obtain optimum production performance. Stand in for Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extrusion and milling process control
  • Managing the team.
  • Production statements / OEE
  • Planning - Packing
  • Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.
  • Monitoring product standard and implementing quality-control programmes.
  • Quality consistency
  • Maintenance
  • Capacity utilisation
  • Housekeeping
  • Standard operating procedures
  • Liaising with different departments to achieve business goals.
  • Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
  • Management of production teams as well as motivating teams to achieve business goals.
  • Invocom™ facilitation and coaching
  • Completion of Health and safety records
  • Completion of Food safety records
  • CIP’s

Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Ability to function in a team.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric
  • GMF Module 4 and Trade Test (Wheat or Maize) preferable.
  • Knowledge and or experience of FSSC 22000 will be advantageous.
  • HACCP will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 Years’ experience within the food production industry
  • 5 Years food extrusion experience
  • Be familiar with PLC operated plant.
  • Milling Experience
