Overview
The Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of assigned area such as the coordination of trainings for all platform teams to ensure they are aware of the policies and procedures, as well as the coordination of sites in case of incidents to ensure the respect of all safety measures.
Also will be responsible for:
1. Implements the day-to-day operations of the assigned section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
2. Schedules and plans activities for subordinates, ensuring the optimum allocation of manpower and resources so that maintenance targets are achieved for the assigned area.
3. Collects and maintains the latest version of technical/ original equipment manufacturer (OEM) manuals to ensure any updates or advances in calibration techniques are available for reference.
4. Monitors plans, and notifies and follows-up with end-users in the respective area they are assigned to when required.
5. Liaises with supply chain to ensure equipment are sent to manufacturers/ vendors and/or international laboratories for external calibration in a timely manner.
6. Supports internal and external audits of the department to ensure the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).
7. Provides support by maintaining and providing the required data, and performing corrective action to resolve non-conformities brought out during audits.
8. Directly supports the effective management and development of department policies to ensure a compliant operation.
9. Initiates selection and purchasing process for appropriate standards and equipment during.
10. Adds human capital capabilities to the department through recruitment.
11. Organizes and supervises the activities and work of direct reports to ensure that all work within a specific.
12. team is completed to the required standards and in line with GAL operating policies and procedures.
13. Liaises with the supply chain management department on the procurement of specialized equipment in order to address the department and customer’s requirements, and ensures the department is fully operational
14. Provides on-the-job training, constructive feedback, and performance reviews to subordinates to support their overall development.
15. When problems are encountered, acts as a technical expert to an appropriate level to ensure the timely resolution of issues and minimization of downtime.
16. Supports and develops opportunities to encourage knowledge and skill transfer to the UAE National workforce.
17. Regularly reports on the performance of the assigned tasks and their results.
18. Prepares statements and reports timely and accurately to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards.
19. On an on-going basis, examines current operational processes to identify and implement potential operational improvements that will positively impact upon service, safety, environmental and cost performance
20. Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Maintenance Operations at the Facility to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality aircraft maintenance service and a responsible environmental attitude
21. Sponsors opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practices and changes in the competitive environment.
22. Ensures direct reports adhere to and support all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls, promoting employee safety, legislative compliance and to promote a responsible environmental attitude.
23. Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
24. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
Nationality
No Restriction
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation displine or equivelant, Technical Diploma with skill level 7 - 9 QC, Train the Trainer or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in an aerospace maintenance and aircraft operating environment, preferably in military, of which at least 1 years in a similar position.
Expert in maintenance processes and procedures.
