Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.
To qualify at the GS-13, you must possess one year specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS 12 level, Example of such experience include experience maintaining an accounting system on a regular basis, formatting new report to satisfy information requirements, recognizing and adjusting differences between general ledger and subsidiary accounts; preparing monthly trial balances and financial reports.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 08/23/2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and directs through subordinate staff all aspects of budget formulation, execution, and reporting of the region’s power funded program.
  • Coordinates and directs through subordinate staff all aspects of the region’s working capital fund including formulation, rate analysis, and monitoring and coordination with area and regional office working capital fund managers and budget analysts.
  • Plans, develops, and directs financial accounting and reporting programs for the CPN Region.
  • Coordinates the follow-up and reply to reports of financial audits by various auditing organizations.
  • Administers Reclamation-wide policy reviews with managers and program staff throughout the CPN Region to ensure the Region’s program issues and concerns are documented and articulated to the appropriate personnel.
