You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one of the following:

Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:

  • Identifying and analyzing trends in receipt, obligations, or expenditure of funds to ensure objectives of the annual financial plan, and that available funds are used effectively to support program objectives.
  • Advising the executive staff and program managers in planning, implementing, and assessing agency-wide programs of strategic planning.
  • Implementing budgetary policies affective the financing and accomplishment of major programs.
  • Planning, organizing, and directing a team and/or task force across organizational lines ensuring realistic milestones are established.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, at full performance level, you will perform the following duties:

  • Supervise a staff engaged in substantive professional, technical, or administrative work while ensuring timely performance of satisfactory volumes and quality of work.
  • Provide advice to the Director and the CFO with expert advice on resource planning and administration, budgetary and legislative matters, and annual audits.
  • Prepare and present internal budgets and external Office of Management and Budget (OMB) submissions, and the review and analysis of requests for reprogramming of budget funds.
  • Provide advice and assistance to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on agency-wide strategic planning, formulation, presentation, justification, and execution of the agency’s budget.
  • Develop proposed appropriation language in support of new or revised program and budgetary requirements.
