Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing Information Technology (IT) policies and plans; providing technical oversight for the procurement of IT equipment and services; and performing studies to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational technology plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Responsibilities:
- Carry out a variety of system analysis, planning, and programming assignments independently working in conjunction with other professionals.
- Determine appropriate products or services with customers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Design, implement, and manage knowledge management tools, projects, and systems to improve information flow and enhance the decision-making process within the command.
- Responsible for supervising, planning and assigning work to be accomplished by four subordinates.
- Assess Information Technology requirements and develop plans and budgets to meet requirements.
- Evaluate and monitor purchases or contracts for Information Technology services, equipment, products, supplies, property, or other items compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures.
