  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in engineering / Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience working in the automotive industries.
  • Experience working in Supply Chain Management.

  • Communication: Effectively communicates in all forms (verbal, email, reports) to ensure all levels of required associates (Supervisor, Teammates) are informed of the status of current projects.
  • Decisiveness: Must be able to evaluate a supplier’s capabilities and deliver a clear opinion based on the information received regarding the supplier’s ability to support ADAC’s requirements.
  • Quality Core Tools: Understanding of the Basic Core Tools for the Automotive Industry as identified by the AIAG (FMEA, SPC, APQP, MSA, PPAP).
  • Problem Solving: Ability to solve problems in a disciplined manner. Understanding of 8D method is required.
  • Coordination: Effectively distributes and manages information received to ensure deliverables are met within required timing.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Understands product manufacturing and is familiar with:
  • Raw materials, production processes, quality assurance, and other techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of a manufacturing process.
  • Knowledge of blueprints, drawings, and models

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Domestic and International Travel to supplier locations to evaluate potential new suppliers, monitor existing suppliers, and resolve concerns with product supplied by existing suppliers.
  • Monitor suppliers on new product development to support ADAC’s new product development process. This may include onsite reviews at the supplier location to observe progress on current product development or resolution of product concerns in relation to ADAC’s product development.
  • Evaluate potential new suppliers by conducting onsite visits and auditing the potential suppliers’ manufacturing systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on corrective actions in response to identified rejections of supplied product to ADAC’s facilities. This includes receiving information from the supplier in a timely manner, reviewing/approving the content, and populating ADAC’s Customer Concern Notification system.
  • Complete any tasks assigned in the ADAC’s Change Notice system regarding new product development and / or Supplier Process Change Requests.
  • Receive Supplier Process Change Requests from suppliers and coordinate the resolution of these requested changes through ADAC’s Change Notice process and associated departments.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Buyer to maintain a commodity analysis report for any assigned supplier commodities implementing any actions identified in this report in a timely manner.

  1. All other duties as assigned by the Supplier Development Manager.
