We are looking for a Supplier Development Engineer in Supply Management in Wärtsilä Marine Power, Power Supply, to work in the Automation category with engine related electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Actively support new product introduction and lead systematic quality assurance activities for the new components
- Analyse supplier performance, identify development opportunities and drive the development actions
- Develop and execute supplier development action plans to improve supplier performance
- Support suppliers with their operational efficiency and development initiatives in relation to cost, quality and delivery
- Execute supplier audits and audit follow-up according to supplier development action plan
- Act as a point of contact for suppliers with escalated issues
- Actively participate in the component category team action plan creation, application and decision making
