Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Proficiency with data analysis and ability to interpret analysis results for use in business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Improve supplier quality performance for assigned suppliers via Part Quality Plan creation and implementation.
- Approve supplier selection through robust qualification processes.
- Assure supplier compliance to GEHC QMS and regulatory requirements through supplier monitoring process.
- Develop positive relationships and work closely with Global and Strategic Business Unit Sourcing and Quality Leaders to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions, and transfers.
- Interface with Suppliers, Engineering, Service, Manufacturing and Sourcing to drive Quality improvements that minimize the Costs of Quality, specifically Failed on Arrival/Install (FOA/FOI) issues, Field Failures, and Factory defects.
- Assure Corrective and Preventive Action plans are developed and executed at assigned suppliers in compliance with the CAPA process.
- All other duties as assigned by manager.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
