An opportunity has arisen for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Quality department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. Responsibility for the Supplier Quality activities for E/E commodities, within the programmes assigned. Working closely with Programmes, Engineering and Procurement to fix Supplier-related problems and develop a supply chain that is fit for purpose and delivering conforming product on time, every time.

Responsibilities:

  • Problem Solving: drive activities associated with specific non-conforming product, containments, root cause analysis and problem resolution utilising such techniques as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc, leading to a robust Permanent Corrective Action.
  • Audits, PPAP, APQP: support Supplier Quality activities within the supply chain including Supplier Assessments, Process Audits and Surveillance Visits, receive and review PPAP and lead APQP when required.
  • Supply Chain Management: support the development and implementation of a supplier performance monitoring system and other policies to drive continual improvement in the supply chain and on-board new suppliers.
  • Work closely with procurement, customers, designers, PM and suppliers to develop improvement plans and deliver performance improvement.
  • Drive quality performance reviews and Lesson Learned activities.
  • Act as the day-day point of contact for Supplier Quality concerns within programme and / or commodity responsibility.
